Description: The shells of Haloa japonica are approximately 11 millimeters in length and approximately 8 millimeters in width. Distribution: This species occurs in the Pacific Ocean, Mediterranean Sea, and North Sea. Recorded locations include Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Thailand, the Mediterranean Sea (including Sète and Étang de Berre in France), California and Washington in the USA, southern British Columbia in Canada, Taiwan, and the Netherlands including Zeeland.
