About Haemopsalta rubea (Goding & Froggatt, 1904)

This species, Haemopsalta rubea, has forewings that measure between 16 and 21 millimetres in length. It is distributed in coastal and subcoastal areas of eastern Australia along the Great Dividing Range, ranging from the Windsor Tablelands in Far North Queensland south to Royal National Park, located south of Sydney, New South Wales. It is widespread across Greater Brisbane, including Bribie Island and North Stradbroke Island. Its typical habitat is both wet and dry sclerophyll forest.
