Gypsonoma haimbachiana, commonly known as the cottonwood twig borer, is a moth species belonging to the family Tortricidae. This species is found in eastern North America, ranging from Canada south to the Gulf Coast of the United States, and extending west as far as Missouri. The wingspan of adult Gypsonoma haimbachiana measures 13 to 17 mm, and adult individuals have an ash grey coloration. In the southern portion of the species' range, there are four or more generations produced per year. The larvae of Gypsonoma haimbachiana feed on Populus sect. Aigeiros and other species within the genus Populus.
