Gynaikothrips ficorum, commonly called the Cuban laurel thrips, is a species of tube-tailed thrips belonging to the family Phlaeothripidae. It was first described by Paul Marchal in 1908, originally under the name Phloeothrips ficorum. It has been recorded in Africa, North America, and Europe, and is widespread globally due to its association with its host plant, Ficus. In Australia, where it is called the fig leaf-rolling thrips, it has been found in New South Wales, the Northern Territory, Queensland, and Western Australia.
