Gynacantha mocsaryi Förster, 1898 is a species of dragonfly in the family Aeshnidae, commonly called the paddle-tipped duskhawker. This species occurs in northern Queensland (Australia), the Maluku Islands, and New Guinea. It is a large, dark-colored dragonfly with a strongly constricted waist on its third abdominal segment. Adult males of the species have blue coloring. Gynacantha mocsaryi is a crepuscular insect that flies during dawn and dusk.
