About Groenlandia densa (L.) Fourr.

Groenlandia is a monotypic genus of aquatic pondweed plants belonging to the family Potamogetonaceae. The only species included in this genus is Groenlandia densa (L.) Fourr. This species is commonly known as opposite-leaved pondweed. It is native to most of Europe, western Asia, and the Maghreb region of Africa. Contrary to what its scientific name suggests, the species does not grow naturally in Greenland.
