About Gonocephalus chamaeleontinus (Laurenti, 1768)
Gonocephalus chamaeleontinus (Laurenti, 1768) inhabits humid tropical environments, specifically the forests of central Java. This species reaches a total length of around 22–25 cm (8.7–9.8 in), and individuals are quite territorial. Its overall lifestyle is similar to that of chameleons. Females of this species are solid green, while males are primarily blue with yellow markings.
