About Goniobranchus woodwardae (Rudman, 1983)

Goniobranchus woodwardae is a species of marine nudibranch first formally described by Rudman in 1983. This species has a pale lilac mantle, which grades to a darker pink color in some individuals. Small to medium-sized red spots are scattered across its mantle, with a white band along the mantle edge that is followed by a narrow yellow marginal band. It is very similar in appearance to Chromodoris thompsoni, and it is part of a group of species found in southeastern Australia that mimic each other in coloration. This marine species is distributed off the coast of New South Wales, Australia.
