About Goniobranchus leopardus (Rudman, 1987)

Goniobranchus leopardus can grow to a maximum length of 6 centimeters. Its body is elongated, and the foot is separated from the upper body by a large, skirt-like mantle that covers the foot. The upper surface of the mantle is brownish, marked with dark spots that are each outlined by a white ring. The mantle margin is white, with a thin purple to electric blue line running along its outer edge. The rhinophores are lamellate and contractile; their base is white and they are tipped with blue to purple, though they may also be white with a longitudinal blue to purple stripe. The branched gill is whitish on its outer side, and has a golden inner surface. This species has been recorded in northwestern Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and the Solomon Islands.
