About Goniobranchus epicurius (Basedow & Hedley, 1905)

Goniobranchus epicurius is a species of chromodorid nudibranch. It has a translucent white mantle; the edge of the mantle is opaque white and marked with orange spots. Thin opaque white longitudinal lines and small orange spots are also present across the rest of the mantle. Its rhinophores and gills are translucent, with edges lined by opaque white pigment. Specimens that have a heavy dusting of red pigment and lack white lines on the mantle fit the original formal description of this species. This species is distributed from South Australia to Victoria and Tasmania.
