About Goniobranchus bombayanus (Winckworth, 1946)
Goniobranchus bombayanus is a chromodorid nudibranch. It has a translucent white mantle covered with rounded purple spots, plus an orange submarginal band made of coalescent spots. The center of its back has a brownish tint, and its mantle surface is textured with tiny raised white papillae. This species can grow up to 30 millimeters in body length. It is very closely similar in appearance to Goniobranchus kitae. Goniobranchus bombayanus was first described from specimens collected at Bombay, India. It is found in the Gulf of Bengal off the coast of northeast India, and around the Andaman Islands.
