About Goniobranchus aureomarginatus (Cheeseman, 1881)

This is a species of chromodorid nudibranch with the scientific name Goniobranchus aureomarginatus (Cheeseman, 1881). It has a white mantle bordered by yellow. Its rhinophores and gills are translucent white, with opaque white pigment present on the gill rachis and the rhinophore lamellae. This species was first described from specimens collected from Auckland harbour and Waiwera, New Zealand, and it is currently recognized as an endemic species of New Zealand.
