About Gomphrena canescens R.Br.
Gomphrena canescens, commonly called bachelors buttons, is an erect herbaceous plant that can be either annual or perennial. It is distributed across many areas of northern Australia. It reaches a height between 0.1 and 0.9 meters, and can grow in a wide range of sites, including clay-based, sandy, and skeletal soils. It is found growing in woodlands, rocky slopes, coastal dunes, and disturbed areas. It produces attractive pink flowers from February to September.
