About Glyphidocera septentrionella Busck, 1904

Glyphidocera septentrionella Busck, 1904 is a moth species belonging to the family Autostichidae. This species is recorded from locations across North America, including British Columbia, California, Illinois, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Texas. Adults have a wingspan of 18 to 19 mm. Their antennae are yellowish fuscous, while the face and head are yellowish. The thorax and forewings are yellowish fuscous, evenly covered with scattered black scales. There are three distinct sets of dark spots on the forewings: a very faint blackish round spot in the basal part of the cell, a similar but more pronounced blackish round spot in the middle of the cell, and a double blackish spot at the end of the cell. The hindwings are yellowish fuscous.
