About Glomeris pustulata Eichwald, 1830

Glomeris pustulata Eichwald, 1830 is a species of pill millipede in the genus Glomeris and family Glomeridae. This species has a central European distribution, with confirmed records in Poland, Germany, and Switzerland. In Poland, it has been found in Ojców National Park. In Germany, it has been recorded in North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Württemberg. In Switzerland, it has been found in the Jura Mountains. Glomeris pustulata thrives in well-preserved deciduous and mixed forests that have abundant decaying wood. It is specifically found in mature oak (Quercus) and beech (Fagus) forests. It lives in crevices under the bark of dead trees, as well as in leaf litter and moss growing around decaying wood. It prefers soils high in calcium carbonate from shell limestone areas.
