About Gilia minor A.D.Grant & V.E.Grant
This wildflower, Gilia minor A.D.Grant & V.E.Grant, produces short, branching, spreading stems that reach up to 20 centimeters long. Most of its leaves form a basal rosette at ground level, while additional leaves are sparsely spread along the stems. Its soft above-ground plant tissue may be covered in white cobweb-like fibers and hair-shaped glands. The flower cluster holds between one and several small flowers. Each flower is less than 1 centimeter wide and has a bright lavender color. The throat of the flower is white or yellowish with purple veins, and the style and stamens stick out slightly from the flower opening.
