About Geranium renardii Trautv.

Geranium renardii Trautv. is a hardy flowering herbaceous perennial plant species classified in the genus Geranium, family Geraniaceae. It is native to the Caucasus region. It grows to 30 cm (12 in) tall and equally wide, bearing palmate leaves and pale pink flowers marked with violet stripes. This plant has earned the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. It grows well in both full sun and partial shade, and requires well drained soils. Its Latin specific epithet renardii honors Russian naturalist Charles Claude Renard, who lived from 1809 to 1886.
