The leaves of Geranium pratense L. are deeply divided into 7 to 9 lobes, and reach 3 to 6 inches wide. Its flowers are pale blue, with color becoming paler toward the center. Each flower has 5 petals, which sometimes bear veins. The stamens have pink-purple stalks topped with dark purple anthers. Geranium pratense is a melliferous herb. It produces nectar at a rate of 1.3 to 1.5 mg per 24 hours, and the sugar concentration of its nectar ranges from 57 to 71%.
