About Geranium endressii J.Gay
Geranium endressii, commonly known as Endres cranesbill or French crane's-bill, is a species of hardy flowering plant in the Geranium genus, within the Geraniaceae family. It is either herbaceous or semi-evergreen, and grows as a perennial. It is native to the Western Pyrenees region of Spain, and is widely grown as a garden plant. It reaches 75 cm (30 in) tall and wide, with a mounding to sprawling growth habit, which makes it useful as groundcover for locations with light shade. Its leaves are deeply divided, and its flowers are soft pink with red veins. It is very hardy, able to survive temperatures down to at least −20 °C (−4 °F), and may tolerate even colder temperatures. The cultivar ‘Castle Drogo’ has received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
