About Gentianella concinna (Hook.fil.) T.N.Ho & S.W.Liu
Gentianella concinna is an annual plant with much-branched stems that can grow up to 12 cm (5 in) long. Its leaves are fleshy and leathery, shaped oblong-spatheolate to linear-oblong, and gradually narrow into broad, flat petioles. Basal leaves measure roughly 8โ20 mm (0.3โ0.8 in) long by 3โ7 mm (0.1โ0.3 in) wide; stem (cauline) leaves are smaller than basal leaves. Flowers grow singly in the axils of the upper leaves. The corollas are red, or white streaked with red or purple, and measure approximately 8โ12 mm (0.3โ0.5 in) long. Its calyces are around one third as long as the corollas.
