Gelsemium rankinii Small, commonly called Rankin's trumpetflower or swamp jessamine, is a twining vine belonging to the Gelsemiaceae family. It is native to the southeastern United States, ranging from Louisiana to the Carolinas. This climbing vine grows over other vegetation, reaching heights of 6 meters (20 feet) or taller. It bears glossy green leaves and clusters of showy yellow flowers.
