About Geitodoris heathi (MacFarland, 1905)

This species of dorid nudibranch reaches a maximum length of approximately 45 mm, which is equal to almost 2 inches. Its body color can be white, yellow, or a pinkish shade. It is commonly marked with small dark speckles; to the unaided eye, these speckles can sometimes look like large brown patches. These dark speckles also frequently give the nudibranch's gills a dusty appearance. This nudibranch is found in the eastern Pacific Ocean, with a range extending from Alaska to Baja California.
