About Garrya veatchii Kellogg

Garrya veatchii is a shrub that grows as either a small tree-like form or a bushy form, reaching a maximum height of around 2 metres (6.6 ft). Its leaves are oval in shape, measuring 3 to 9 centimeters long and approximately half that measurement in width. Leaf margins may be flat, wavy, or slightly rolled, and the undersides of the leaves are covered in a thin to thick layer of woolly hairs. The plant produces long, hanging inflorescences that bear light-colored flowers. After flowering, female plants develop hanging clusters of fruit. Each fruit is a spherical to egg-shaped berry covered in a soft layer of hairs.
