About Galium asprellum Michx.
Galium asprellum, commonly known as rough bedstraw, is a plant species belonging to the family Rubiaceae. It is native to eastern Canada and the northeastern United States, ranging north from North Carolina and Tennessee to Minnesota, Ontario, and Newfoundland. This species is classified as a noxious weed in New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont, and it grows abundantly in the other New England states and parts of the Great Lakes region. Rough bedstraw is a perennial herb. It bears simple leaves, with three or more leaves growing from each node. Its flowers have four petals and are white in color.
