About Galgula partita Guenée, 1852
Galgula partita Guenée, 1852, commonly known as the Wedgling Moth, is a moth species that belongs to the Noctuidae family. This species is distributed across most of North America, ranging south to Guatemala and the Caribbean. It is also found in the Azores, Madeira, and the Canary Islands. The wingspan of adult Wedgling Moths measures 20 to 26 mm. Adults are active on the wing from March to November in the southern portion of the species’ range, and from May to September in the northern portion. The species produces several generations each year. The larvae of Galgula partita feed on plants from the genus Oxalis.
