About Galanga labeculata (Distant, 1892)

Galanga is a monotypic genus of cicadas, which belongs to the family Cicadidae, subfamily Cicadettinae, and tribe Cicadettini. This genus was first described in 2012 by Maxwell Sydney Moulds, an Australian entomologist. It contains only one species, Galanga labeculata (Distant, 1892), and this single species is found in subtropical and warm temperate areas of eastern Australia.
