About Gahnia radula (R.Br.) Benth.
Gahnia radula, commonly called the thatch saw-sedge, is a tufted perennial sedge that is native to south-eastern Australia. Its leaves are long, flat, rough, and have sharp edges. This species produces a distinctive brown inflorescence that darkens to black as it matures. It reaches a mature height of 50 to 100 cm, spreads via rhizomes, and grows naturally in eucalypt forest and grassy woodland.
