About Furcula borealis Guérin-Méneville, 1844
Furcula borealis, commonly known as the white furcula moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Notodontidae. Its range extends from New Hampshire to Texas and Florida in the eastern United States, and it can also be found in Colorado and South Dakota. The wingspan of adult white furcula moths measures between 31 and 42 millimeters. Adult moths are active and in flight from April through August. The larvae of this species feed on Prunus avium, as well as various species of Salix and Populus.
