Fundulus kansae, commonly called the Northern plains killifish, is a fish species that belongs to the Fundulidae family. This species lives in the Great Plains region of the United States, where it occurs in the shallow areas of small rivers and ponds. While it is primarily found in Kansas, it can also be found in the neighboring U.S. states of Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Nebraska, and Wyoming. It has additionally been recorded in Montana, Utah, Arizona, and Nevada, where it is classified as a non-native species. The accepted scientific name for this species is Fundulus kansae Garman, 1895.
