About Fulgoraecia exigua (Hy.Edw., 1882)
Fulgoraecia exigua, originally described as Epipyrops exigua, is commonly called the planthopper parasite moth, a moth species belonging to the Epipyropidae family. It was first described by Henry Edwards in 1882. This species is found in North America, with confirmed records ranging from New Jersey and Pennsylvania south to central Florida, and westward to Missouri, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. Adult individuals have a wingspan measuring 8 to 13 mm, and adult moths are in flight from June through October.
