Fromia heffernani, commonly called Hefferman's starfish, is a species of marine echinoderm that belongs to the family Ophidiasteridae. This species is widely distributed across the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific region. It can be told apart from the related species Fromia monilis by a distinct set of short spikes that run along both sides of its arm grooves.
