Fritillaria purdyi Eastw. is a herbaceous perennial plant that grows from a bulb. It produces an erect, smooth stem that reaches 10 to 40 centimeters in height. Its leaves are ovate in shape and can grow up to 10 centimeters long. The top of the stem bears a raceme inflorescence, which holds one or more cup-shaped or bell-shaped flowers. Each flower has 6 white tepals, which are heavily marked with brownish-purple streaks or spots and also have pink tinting.
