About Fraus crocea (Lucas, 1891)

Fraus crocea is a moth belonging to the family Hepialidae. This species is endemic to the Australian regions of New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria. Male individuals have a wingspan of approximately 20 millimeters, while female individuals have a wingspan of approximately 35 millimeters. Adult Fraus crocea are active and capable of flight from February through May. The larvae of this moth are associated with the plant species Imperata cylindrica and plants from the Gahnia genus.
