Forcipiger flavissimus, commonly known as the yellow longnose butterflyfish or forceps butterflyfish, is a species of marine fish belonging to the family Chaetodontidae. This is a small fish that reaches a maximum length of 22 cm (8.7 inches), and the species is available in the aquarium trade. It has a wide distribution across tropical Indo-Pacific waters, ranging from the eastern coast of Africa to Hawaii, and including the Red Sea. It also occurs in the eastern Pacific Ocean, ranging from Baja California to the Revillagigedo Islands and the Galapagos.
