About Flaveria floridana Johnst.
Flaveria floridana, commonly known as Florida yellowtops, is a North American plant species in the genus Flaveria of the family Asteraceae. It has only been discovered along the Gulf Coast of Florida, growing between Clearwater and Marco Island, with most populations found in the Tampa Bay region. This species is a perennial herb that grows up to 120 cm (3.9 ft) tall. Its leaves are long and narrow, reaching up to 14 cm (5.5 in) in length.
