About Flabellina dushia (Ev.Marcus & Er.Marcus, 1963)
Flabellina dushia is a species of flabellinid nudibranch. Most of its body is covered in opaque white pigment, and its translucent underlying body can be seen in specific areas: at the bases of its tentacles and rhinophores, and behind its eyes and the bases of its cerata. Both the rhinophores and oral tentacles are translucent at their base, and opaque white pigment covers their outer two-thirds. Mature individuals of this species reach 15 mm in length, and can grow up to 20 mm long. This species was originally described based on specimens from the Caribbean Sea. It was later redescribed using new material collected from Martinique, the Bahamas, and Florida. It has also been reported from the Canary Islands and Cape Verde Islands in the eastern Atlantic Ocean. The recorded depth range where this species has been found spans from 1 meter to 20 meters.
