About Filicampus tigris (Castelnau, 1879)
Filicampus tigris, commonly known as the tiger pipefish, is a species of pipefish. It is the only confirmed member of the genus Filicampus. This marine fish is native to the waters surrounding Australia, where it lives at depths ranging from 2 meters (6.6 feet) to 27 meters (88.6 feet). The maximum recorded standard length of this species is 29.6 centimeters, or 11.7 inches.
