About Filago pyramidata L.

Filago pyramidata, commonly called broadleaf cottonrose or broad-leaved cudweed, is a plant species in the family Asteraceae. It is native to the Mediterranean region (encompassing southern Europe, northern Africa, and the Middle East), as well as Great Britain, the Low Countries, and Germany. It has also become naturalized in scattered locations across North America (British Columbia, Oregon, and California), Australia (South Australia and Victoria), Pakistan, and other areas. This species is an annual plant that grows up to 30 cm (12 in) tall, and its entire surface is covered in woolly hairs. It produces flower heads arranged in dense clumps of 8 to 16 heads, with each individual head holding several small flowers.
