About Felimida luteorosea (Rapp, 1827)

This species, Felimida luteorosea, was first described by Rapp in 1827. Adult body length ranges between 30 mm and 55 mm. The body and cephalic tentacles are a vibrant purple. The edge of the foot is golden yellow, and golden yellow spots appear across the mantle and notum. Its full taxonomic classification is: Kingdom Animalia, Phylum Mollusca, Class Gastropoda, Subclass Heterobranchia, Infraclass Euthyneura, Subterclass Ringipleura, Superorder Nudipleura, Order Nudibranchia, Suborder Doridina, Infraorder Doridoidei, Superfamily Chromodoridoidea, Family Chromodorididae, Subfamily Chromodoridinae, Genus Felimida, Species Felimida luteorosea. This species is distributed in European coastal waters of Spain and Portugal, the Mediterranean Sea (including Greece and the Gulf of Trieste in the Northern Adriatic Sea), and the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Angola.
