Felimare ruthae is a species of nudibranch with a blue-black body. Its mantle is edged with a yellow line, and its dorsum features yellow longitudinal lines alongside bright-blue striations. Its gills are typically translucent with black outlines, and its rhinophores are black with a vertical yellow-white line. This species can grow to a total length of at least 25 mm, and has been observed feeding on the sponge Dysidea etheria. This nudibranch is found in the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico. Its recorded depth range spans from a minimum of 1 m (3 ft 3 in) to a maximum of 12 m (39 ft).
