Exoprosopa capucina is a species of bee fly that belongs to the subfamily Anthracinae of the family Bombyliidae. This species can be found across most of Europe and in the Near East. Adult individuals of Exoprosopa capucina reach an average body length of 12 millimetres (0.47 inches). This species has a relatively large head with small antennae. It also has large dark-brown wings that feature translucent areas along their margins; the R1 cell on the front edge of the wing is entirely dark and lacks a hyaline spot. Both the thorax and abdomen of Exoprosopa capucina are greyish brown in color.
