About Exocarpos strictus R.Br.

Exocarpos strictus, commonly known as pale-fruit ballart, pale ballart, and dwarf cherry, is an erect, versatile and adaptable shrub. It produces cherry-like fruit, forms dense thickets, and is native to regions of Australia including Tasmania. This species was first described by botanist Robert Brown in 1810. E. strictus grows abundantly in most habitats, avoiding only the very wettest and very driest sites. Its habitat range spans from heathland to open forests to denser woodland. It is common in Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, Tasmania, and the Australian Capital Territory.
