Exelastis pumilio (Zeller, 1873) is a species of moth belonging to the family Pterophoridae. This moth has a worldwide distribution across tropical regions, and has been recorded in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Guadeloupe, Jamaica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Suriname, Japan, Micronesia, South Africa, the Virgin Islands, Queensland, and New Guinea. The wingspan of adult Exelastis pumilio ranges from 12 to 15 mm. Adult moths are active and recorded in flight during March, April, and June.
