This moth species is distributed across most of Europe, excluding Benelux, Ireland, Portugal, and Ukraine; it can also be found in Turkey, Russia, and China. It has a wingspan that measures 23 to 28 millimeters. Adult moths are active on the wing from the month of May through August. The larvae of Euzophera cinerosella feed on Artemisia absinthium, and they feed internally within the plant’s roots.
