Euxesta eluta is a species of picture-winged fly (also called ulidiid) that belongs to the genus Euxesta within the family Ulidiidae. This species was first described by Hermann Loew in 1868. In Santa Fe, Argentina, Euxesta eluta feeds on sweet corn. The species breeds from spring through late fall, laying their eggs in protected parts of corn ears.
