Eutropis madaraszi (Méhely, 1897) has a slender body with 32 midbody scale rows. Its dorsum is brown, with a dark line running along the flank. Its venter is creamy and unmarked. This is a widespread terrestrial skink that occurs in both wet and dry climate zones. Confirmed known localities for the species include Colombo, areas around Kala Wewa, and Madatugama. It can be found at elevations up to 800 m (2,600 ft). Individuals typically shelter in rock crevices, under leaf litter, or under logs, and are observed basking during midday.
