The Valdina Farms salamander, scientifically named Eurycea troglodytes Baker, 1957, reaches an adult length of 2 to 3 inches, or 5.1 to 7.6 centimeters. This species has short legs, reduced eyes covered by a layer of skin, and retains external gills. Its base body color ranges from grey to cream, and individuals are translucent. Some specimens may show pale yellow striping or white speckling. Because only a small number of specimens have been documented, the full range of natural variation in this species’ body color and patterning remains unknown.
