About Eurolophosaurus nanuzae (Rodrigues, 1981)

Eurolophosaurus nanuzae, commonly called Rodrigues's lava lizard, and known as lagartinho-de-crista-do-espinhaço in Brazilian Portuguese, is a species of South American lava lizard belonging to the family Tropiduridae. This species is endemic to Brazil. It occurs in eastern Brazil, within the Brazilian states of Bahia and Minas Gerais. Its preferred natural habitat is rocky shrubland, found at elevations higher than 900 m (3,000 ft). Eurolophosaurus nanuzae reproduces by laying eggs, meaning it is oviparous.
