About Eupomatia bennettii F.Muell.

Eupomatia bennettii, commonly known as small bolwarra, is a shrub species in the ancient Australian plant family Eupomatiaceae. It occurs in subtropical rainforest in eastern Australia, growing naturally north of the Nambucca River, and is sometimes found in moist gullies dominated by Eucalyptus trees. It typically reaches a height of 70 cm to 140 cm. Its hairless leaves are reverse lanceolate (oblanceolate) in shape, measuring 8 to 20 cm long and 2.5 to 5 cm wide. In spring, it produces attractive 25 mm-diameter flowers that are cream and red in colour. Its fruit is an obconical berry that starts green and matures to a yellowish colour, with a diameter of 2 to 3 cm.
