About Euploca humilis (L.) Feuillet

Euploca humilis (L.) Feuillet, commonly known as dwarf tournefortia, has the scientific synonym Tournefortia humilis. It is a species of flowering plant belonging to the family Heliotropiaceae. This plant is native to Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, and most of Brazil. It was first formally described by Linnaeus in 1753. In 2016, both molecular and morphological evidence supported the transfer of this species from the genus Tournefortia to the genus Euploca.
